The Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing Development Corporation (TAHDCO) has sanctioned two computer training programmes for the benefits of Adi Dravidar candidates. |

| A) |
A one year computer training programme to the dependents of scavengers identified by the Madurai TAHDCO Office. Under this scheme, 20 dependents have been identified and being trained at the CED IT Incubator Centre.

| B) |
A one year computer training programme to the SC/ST candidates under the scheme of providing employable / marketable skills to the SC/ST candidates. Under this scheme, 20 SC/ST candidates have been identified and being trained at the CED IT Incubator Centre. |

| III) Computer training to the adolescent girls in Madurai District |

The Government of India has evolved a scheme of providing computer training to the adolescent girl children under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and implemented through the ICDS offices established in each block of the districts identified. M/s.A&D Solaris have undertaken the contract for several districts in South India. |

CED (Tamil Nadu) was requested to provide the Computer Faculty and infrastructure by A&D Solaris to train the 510 adolescent girls identified in the 17 blocks of Madurai District. A good and elaborate course material has been provided in Computer Application by M/s.A&D Solaris. Competent and trained faculty members and state of the art computer work stations have been provided to the young girl children. The duration of the training is 55 days which includes 7 days training component in Entrepreneurship Development. The training has received a good response from the young girl children and the public. |
