| Headed the School of Business Studies, Madurai Kamaraj University consisting of three popular Departments viz. Management studies, Entrepreneurship studies and Commerce. Earlier served as a Member of the Syndicate of Madurai Kamaraj University during 1994-1997, nominated by His Excellency, the Governor of Tamil Nadu and currently serving in the Governing Board of a number of Engineering Colleges and Management Institutions as a Nominee of the Management. |

The Department of Entrepreneurship Studies, Madurai Kamaraj University was established without any financial commitment on the part of University or any other agency. The Department is functioning through self-supporting academic programmes, has established a Corpus Fund with a cumulative value of Rs.80 lakhs and constructed an exclusive building for the Department and established other infrastructural facilities to the tune of Rs.50 lakhs from its Corpus Fund |

Extensive Research Work has been undertaken, completed 15 major research / consultancy assignments sponsored by National and International Agencies. Has produced 15 PhDs in the Faculty of Business Administration in areas such as: Entrepreneurship, Export Marketing, Women Empowerment, Small Industry Promotion, etc. and another 10 PhD works are in progress.

Fostering Entrepreneurship Culture among educated youth for the past two decades and currently serving as Member Secretary of Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (Tamil Nadu), a State Level approved Entrepreneurship Development Institution recognized by Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu. |

Actively involved in establishing Entrepreneurship Development Cells in the Institutions of Higher Learning at the request of Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education to assist the Universities and Colleges of Tamil Nadu to establish Entrepreneurship Development Cells. Trained more than 300 College Teachers in Tamil Nadu as Nodal Officers to manage the EDCs in the Colleges. |
