Mr. Kathirvel – A PMRY Beneficiary hailing from Madurai District of Tamil Nadu. |

Mr. Kathirvel, Aged 32 years is a PMRY beneficiary who had completed his PMRY training during the year 1998 conducted by Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED). He hails from an Agricultural family. Having come from his rural back ground he had no knowledge about business. However, he started his business career with a small garments shop availing the bank loan under the PMRY scheme during the year 1998 |

He is a First Generation Entrepreneur. He was sanctioned a Loan of Rs.50,000/- from Canara Bank, North Veli Street, Madurai under the PMRY scheme. He has undertaken both the manufacturing of Garments as well as Marketing the products with the single aim of consumer satisfaction. Even though he had completed B.Com Degree, he proudly told everybody that he learnt all the business accounting, sales and marketing techniques only from the 10 days PMRY training programme. |

Initially he started his shop at a small level at Zulaiha Towers, near Central Theatre, Madurai and slowly he widened his business activities in the Garments area. His main focus is customer satisfaction. He had expanded his business activities spread over the entire Madurai District. |

Over the past 10 years he gained enough experience and expertise in the garment manufacturing and marketing. He has expanded his business network with 3 more branches in the different locations of Madurai. His business has an annual turnover of Rs.1 crore from each of the branch. He has utilized his entrepreneurial competencies acquired through PMRY training at CED to run his business in the garments field. He is a good role model for the PMRY participants. |
